Responsibilities
Perform advanced interventional radiology procedures including neuro thrombectomies and a wide range of vascular and non-vascular interventions
Utilize imaging technologies and equipment to assist with angioplasty, gastrostomy tube placements, paracentesis, TIPS, nephrostomy, and other specialized procedures
Participate in emergency procedures involving thrombolytics, procedural sedation administration, and monitoring
Maintain accurate, thorough documentation using electronic systems such as Sunrise Allscripts and McKesson while adhering to SBAR communication protocols
Ensure patient safety through rigorous radiation and laser safety standards, vascular closure system management, and pressure ulcer prevention
Monitor ventilatory support and manage dysrhythmias, intravenous starts, and continuum of care in collaboration with clinical teams
Qualification
Required
Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience
ARRT certification
Prior experience with interventional radiology, including neuro thrombectomy procedures
Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
Proficiency in various complex procedural skills such as angiography, stent placements, dialysis graft interventions, and central venous access/port placements
Strong capability to monitor and manage sedation, emergency medications, and patient safety measures
Familiarity with electronic health record systems and relevant documentation protocols
