Responsibilities
Delivering comprehensive nursing care on a 35-bed unit with an average census of 22
Managing patient ratios of 1:5 for RNs
Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams
Providing expertise in post-op care, orthopedic experience, TPN, PPN, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach and chest tube care, wound care, and medication drip management such as cardiac drips and blood products
Utilizing advanced technologies like EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Phillips monitors as part of daily practice
Floating within the regions network of facilities, including Med/Tele, ICU, PCU, and ED units
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
active registered nurse (RN) license
minimum 1+ years RN experience
expertise in post-op care
orthopedic experience
TPN and PPN management
cardiac rhythm interpretation
trach and chest tube care
wound care
medication drip management such as cardiac drips and blood products
current BLS certification
current ACLS certification
current NIHSS certification
flexibility to float within the regions network of facilities including Med/Tele, ICU, PCU, and ED units
Preferred
minimum of two years experience in MedSurg and Telemetry nursing
prior experience working independently in a similar setting
