Responsibilities

Represent clients in medical malpractice cases in court and during negotiations
Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents, including briefs and pleadings
Manage all phases of litigation, from trial preparation to courtroom representation
Collaborate with medical experts and coordinate expert witness testimony
Negotiate settlements with opposing parties to achieve the best outcomes for clients
Maintain detailed case files and manage case timelines effectively
Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and medical terminology related to malpractice
Engage in client consultations to understand their cases and provide legal advice

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the MD, PA, DC, or VA
Proven experience in medical malpractice law and litigation

Ability to understand and apply medical terminology in legal contexts
Experience in case management and handling multiple cases simultaneously
Demonstrated courtroom experience and trial preparation skills
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and nursing home liability issues
Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa
