Responsibilities

Provide pre-hospital emergency medical care of simple and multiple system traumas
Assist the Paramedic in determining the nature and extent of illness or injury and establishing priorities for required emergency care
Assist the Paramedic in rendering emergency medical care to all patients
Operate all emergency vehicles as the primary driver with due diligence for the safety of others
Restocking EMS units once supplies are received as well as assisting other clinic operators with restocking
Maintain equipment, tools, and protective clothing in a serviceable ready-response condition
Performs other duties and assignments as required
Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies

Required

Ability to assess adult and pediatric patients in pre-hospital setting
Ability to successfully perform BLS interventions in accordance with protocols
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient IT skills including use of electronic medical records systems
Ability to function with accuracy and efficiency in high pressure or emergent situations
Ability to respond calmly in emergency situations
Cultural sensitivity and awareness with the willingness to work with a foreign national patient population
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively work with persons of diverse age and economic background in a culturally competent manner
Must be able to manage and provide concise directions to supporting staff
Ability to quickly adapt to changing work conditions and responsibilities
Possession of an EMT Level Certification from the National Registry (NREMT)
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum of 1 year of EMT experience in a busy 911 system
Must be physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned, including the ability to perform physically demanding training activities
Must be able to pass a Mod 17 physical and dental exam
Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate
This position is unaccompanied. No pets
US DOS clearance or the ability to obtain one is required
Must be able to relocate to project
A valid passport from country of record with 18 months remaining is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay

Preferred

Experience in a remote setting preferred
Prior military or fire experience preferred
US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is preferred
