Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive critical care nursing to CVICU patients using advanced clinical skills
Manage complex patient cases including those requiring rapid sequence intubations, central line and arterial line placements, bronchoscopy assistance, chest tube management, and ventilator support
Administer and monitor vasopressors and implement restraint protocols as appropriate
Maintain accurate and timely documentation utilizing EPIC electronic health records
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient care
Float within designated inpatient areas such as the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or serve as a sitter when required
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
active registered nurse (RN) license
minimum 1+ years RN experience
Current Utah Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of application
ACLS certification is mandatory
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
Outgoing personality with strong communication skills and adaptability
Preferred
Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience preferred
strong cardiac ICU experience with at least 1 year considered
Proficient with ICU-level procedures including ventilator management and invasive line placements
