Responsibilities
Perform interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, gastrostomy tube placement, paracentesis, nephrostomy, and specialized vascular and endovascular interventions
Support neuro thrombectomy cases, contributing to critical patient care
Maintain accurate documentation using Sunrise Allscripts and McKesson systems
Provide comprehensive patient monitoring including procedural sedation, ventilator assessments, and dysrhythmia management
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule involving overnight and weekend shifts
Utilize radiation and laser safety practices and manage vascular closure systems
Administer emergency medications and manage patient sedation and anticoagulation safely and effectively
Qualification
Required
Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience
ARRT certification
Prior experience in interventional radiology, specifically with neuro thrombectomies
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory
Skilled in a variety of IR procedures such as TIPS, renal and pulmonary angiography, dialysis graft interventions, chest tube placement, and thrombolytic therapy
Proficient in patient assessment including pressure ulcer prevention and activated clotting time monitoring
Ability to manage documentation and communication in a hospital electronic medical records system
