Responsibilities
Deliver tailored instruction and support to a caseload of 7-8 students with autism, emphasizing both verbal and nonverbal communication styles
Collaborate closely with one additional teacher and two teacher assistants to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Monitor and support developmental progress, addressing the unique educational requirements and social skills of students
Participate in individualized education program (IEP) planning and implementation
Maintain clear communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
active Special Education Teacher license
minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience
Valid Early Childhood (EC) Birth to Kindergarten teaching license
Confidence and enthusiasm for working with young children on the autism spectrum, including those who are mostly potty trained
Experience in special education settings, particularly with moderate to severe autism populations
Strong collaborative skills for working within a team of educators and support staff
