Responsibilities
Assist in preparing the state budget for CYS and Juvenile Probation expenditures and revenues
Help to prepare the county budget, all related financial and revenue reports required by the County Commissioner's and County Controller, and fiscal forms for the agency’s annual plan prepared for the Department of Public Welfare
Develop fiscal manuals for the agency to reflect all governing regulations for state and federal programs as well as write detailed instructions for carrying out the fiscal demands of the agency regarding paperwork related to placements and invoicing of placement costs
Assist in preparing general ledger reports, trial balances, journal entries and budget modifications
Qualification
Required
One year as a Fiscal Technician and 15 college credits in accounting; or
Five years of bookkeeping experience; and 15 college credits in accounting; or
One year of professional accounting experience and graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
