Responsibilities
Serves as Career Broadener Program Manager for the Civilian Development (CD) Office
Carries out various assignments affecting the annual CD nomination call and selection board
Conducts advisory services for a wide range of stakeholders such as career field functional representatives, senior leadership, AF/A1, SF/S1, MAJCOM staff, career program registrants and applicants, and eligible employees
Conducts special projects, initiatives, and assignments
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship is required
Males must be registered for Selective Service
Must complete initial online questionnaire and additional assessment(s)
A security clearance may be required
This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
Position may be subject to random drug testing
May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours
All federal employees are required to have direct deposit
Specialized experience: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems
Knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of personnel management to perform assigned work as it relates to the DAF civilian population
Knowledge of, and skill in applying Human Resource Development (HRD) laws, executive orders, regulations, precedents, policies, and practices governing civilian employee development and training
Knowledge of the methods and techniques of fact-finding analysis and development of action plans to resolve program problems and issues
Knowledge of techniques for developing new or modified HR work methods, approaches, or procedures for delivering effective HR services to clients
Skill in consensus building, negotiating, coalition building, and conflict resolution techniques sufficient to interact appropriately with team members, leaders, individuals, and program representatives and officials in fast-paced, emotionally-charged situations
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, sufficient to develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to managers to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations
