The Business Development & Community Network Specialist will help the agency grow by creating relationships, building visibility in the community, and supporting the sales pipeline.
Responsibilities
Represent the agency at community events and business expos, including managing booths and engaging attendees
Build relationships with local business owners and centers of influence (CPAs, realtors, bankers, HR consultants)
Visit top clients to maintain strong relationships and ensure retention
Collect leads and pass them to the in-office Appointment Setter in a structured, timely way
Follow up on event connections and track activities in the CRM
Help create visibility for the agency and strengthen our community presence
Qualification
Required
Outgoing, personable, and confident in networking and relationship-building situations
Self-starter who can plan their own schedule, prioritize opportunities, and follow through independently
Professional appearance and demeanor; able to represent the agency at community events, expos, and client visits
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage with business owners, community leaders, and referral partners effectively
Organized and detail-oriented; able to track events, leads, and follow-up actions accurately
Comfortable driving locally and attending events during the week or on weekends as scheduled
Results-driven, with a focus on generating high-quality leads and strengthening client relationships
Preferred
Bilingual Spanish/English a plus (critical for connecting with Norman's diverse business community)
