Administrative Associate II (Brown Creek CI)
The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies responsible for safeguarding and caring for adults sentenced under North Carolina laws. They are seeking an Administrative Associate II to act as a liaison between facility administration, staff, and the public, handling correspondence and visitor information.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate Warden for Custody/Operations, this position will be situated in our Operations building and acts as a liaison between the facility administration, staff, and the public, handling high-volume correspondence and security-sensitive visitor information
Completing assignments using a computer and Microsoft Office software
Operating the offender mainframe database (OPUS)
Composing, typing and editing correspondence, reports, and records
Organizing and maintaining confidential records and sensitive information for inclusion in correspondence and personnel-related issues
Processing incoming/outgoing mail and visitor applications
Working independently and completing all assignments on time
Scheduling offender visitation as well as greeting and directing visitors and staff
Managing high call volumes, greeting and assisting visitors, clients, staff, and others
Qualification
Required
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Completing assignments using a computer and Microsoft Office software
Operating the offender mainframe database (OPUS)
Composing, typing and editing correspondence, reports, and records
Organizing and maintaining confidential records and sensitive information for inclusion in correspondence and personnel-related issues
Processing incoming/outgoing mail and visitor applications

Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word
Knowledge of the office or working policies and procedures
Experience facilitating the flow of work and coordinating office support activities with other staff
