Responsibilities
Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods
Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures
Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods
Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing reworks and wastes, and inputting data
Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
Proposing improvements to the production process
Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discarding any that do not meet standards
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and radiographs
Perform testing at various stages on the manufacturing line
Collecting and compiling statistical quality data
Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans
Determining the root causes of product defects and scrap
Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly
Do quality controls per Work Instructions (WI’s) on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products
Suggest improvements to the WI’s to reduce scraps and improve the performance of the finished product
Continually support the Production staff on WI’s, quality, and process issues with Management
Create statistical analysis and reports on the quality of raw materials and finished products as required
Utilize and maintain the supplied instruments of measurement according to WI and safety standards
Monitor and suggest improvements to Management on the production process for the steps of the process
Monitor and audit operations, suggesting improvements to the tools of quality control used in the production line
Qualification
Required
1-3+ years of quality control or assurance experience is required
Can work well with a team and independently
Preferred
Knowledge of quality control or assurance within a manufacturing environment is preferred
Previous PV module manufacturing experience is preferred
