Responsibilities
Attend design and construction meetings
Review product submittals for contract compliance
Coordinate with customers, architects, utilities, fire departments, code officials, and contractors
Mentor junior engineers
Assist with project and staff scheduling
Survey existing electrical systems
Perform electrical design across multiple projects
Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection teams
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience designing building electrical systems
Recent experience at a consulting or engineering firm in the M.E.P. industry
U.S. Work Authorization required
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP
Strong knowledge of Building, Electrical, Fire Alarm, and related codes
Ability to perform: Service entrance, feeder, and branch circuit calculations, Lighting calculations, Voltage drop and AIC calculations and Selection and sizing of service and distribution equipment
Design and layout of: Power distribution systems, Lighting systems, Fire alarm systems, Voice/data and control systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
