The Director of Finance and Revenue will oversee revenue cycle management, lead billing and collection activities, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.

Responsibilities
Ensure best practices in revenue cycle management, conducts monthly reviews with each practices to ensure that goals are met, and helps the practice negotiate the best possible contract and reimbursement with third party payers
Provides leadership, direction and administration of billing and collection activities related to payment posting, insurance verification and credit balance reviews
Monitor work of personnel engaged in billing office functions by checking for accuracy and completeness. Correct root causes of concerns when they arise
Supervise, coach and develop direct reports. Give constructive criticism and feedback on performance to employees in a manner that maintains respect for and dignity of all involved
Build relationships and efficient communication with key stakeholders and other internal teams as well as the IntegraMed Corporate staff. Utilize effective communication techniques to keep staff and upper management informed of all relevant situations
Takes responsibility for pursuing patient complaints in a customer service oriented fashion
Documents concerns and seeks resolutions and corrects root causes
Identify and manage the key performance indicators associated with each component of the CBO Activities and proactively identify and resolve internal and external concerns. Liaison with practice and business office staff to resolve these concerns
Continually monitors and evaluates operations and programs and initiates appropriate changes when needed
Schedule, assign and prioritize department workload. Assign appropriate deadlines, review employee performance, and ensure timely completion of revenue cycle work
Maintain policies and procedures covering patient payment and third party reimbursement guidelines including collection policies to ensure the effectiveness of collection efforts and meet established guidelines
Act in compliance with legal rules and regulations applicable to the position
Adhere to both the spirit and the language of the Sarbanes–Oxley Act of 2002 (“SOX”) in order to avoid any conduct that would be in violation of SOX or give the appearance of violating SOX
Understand SOX rules and responsibilities under the Company’s compliance policies and procedures, and the penalties for not complying with the policies and procedures and the law
Report suspected violations of SOX, company policies and procedures, and/or Federal and State laws, rules and regulations to the Compliance Officer, another appropriate high-level officer of IntegraMed, or IntegraMed’s third party compliance violation reporting service
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree with five (5) years work experience in a Medical Office Practice setting in the area of billing and collection
Strong analytical and computer skills required
Highly process and detail oriented
Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to establish and monitor performance/productivity standards
Ability to analyze financial and operating information to facilitate decision making
Ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary team
Excellent interpersonal skills
Acts with ethical integrity at all times
