Responsibilities
Architectural Discovery: Lead the technical discovery phase to define the end-to-end architecture, ensuring it supports the validated UX and functional requirements
API & Routing Layer Design: Design and oversee the implementation of the API integration layer that bridges modern front-end workflows with legacy backend data
System Integration: Map complex data flows for Search, Quoting, Inventory, and Payment modules, ensuring data integrity across disparate systems
Technical Strategy: Define the 'long-term platform vision,' ensuring the MVP architecture is modular enough to support future waves, advanced features, and multi-vertical expansion
Device & Hardware Readiness: Collaborate on device assessments to ensure the architectural stack supports the necessary hardware and POS peripherals
Performance & Scalability: Establish benchmarks for system latency and reliability, particularly for real-time inventory and payment processing
Technical Governance: Provide guidance to engineering teams on build-phase execution, ensuring alignment with the defined technical architecture and MVP scope
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience in systems architecture, with a proven track record of leading large-scale Digital Transformation or legacy-to-cloud migrations
Deep mastery of API-first design, microservices, and middleware routing layers used to wrap legacy system functionalities
Extensive experience with Point of Sale (POS), e-commerce engines, or high-volume transactional platforms
Strong understanding of secure data transmission and payment integration standards (e.g., PCI-DSS)
Ability to translate complex technical constraints into clear roadmaps for stakeholders and cross-functional design teams
