Sales Manager
Fastems is a company that provides high-end manufacturing systems and services globally, aimed at increasing productivity and sustainability for metalworking manufacturers. They are seeking a Sales Manager to implement their sales strategy in Texas and the Southern Midwest, focusing on maximizing revenue and building long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Create and implement effective direct and partner sales strategies; forecast, report, and keep sales cases updated in the CRM; resolve issues to achieve Fastems’ sales objectives
Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and prospects and be available and responsive to customers’ needs. Report market needs to product lines and management
Manage to meet/exceed monthly, trimester, and annual sales targets to increase profitable sales and build long-term customer relationships
Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
Meet regularly with existing customers, partners, and new prospects in sales territory to understand their evolving business needs and position Fastems’ offering to meet surfaced needs
Continuously expand customer understanding and use of Fastems’ offerings and capabilities
Qualification
Required
Hungry for business, growth, and success personally and for Fastems
Experience in prospecting independently using various sources of information, contacting ICP prospects, and effectively delivering Fastems' message
Comprehensive understanding and experience of the processes and regulations in metal-cutting machine shops
Strong interest and ability to quickly grasp the functionality and logic of technical matters
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a demanding machine tool, solution, or system sales business
Technical know-how: Sales experience in the metal cutting industry, and processes or technology related to the metal industry, machine tool building, and/or robotics industry
Specific knowledge of scheduling, automation, tool management, and program management in a manufacturing environment
A technical degree from an accredited university is preferred
Positive and business-oriented 'can do' attitude
Willingness to set challenging targets and achieve them
Driven by customers and bringing value to customers' business
Engaging with customers
Persuasive seller that drives negotiations and closes orders
Must have a consultative / solution sales approach, with the ability to understand the customer's true needs and objectives; it is essential to listen, observe, and ask the right questions
Analyze the customer's needs and translate their objectives into solutions that align with Fastems' offerings and competencies
Create customized presentations of the proposed solutions to aid in consultation and facilitate the sale
Demonstrate knowledge and persistence to effectively communicate the value of Fastems' offerings to potential customers
