Senior Human Resources Generalist

High Performance Academy (HPA) is on a mission to empower individuals to unlock their full potential. They are seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to support their People and Culture function, managing core HR operations including recruiting coordination, onboarding, and compliance tracking.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day HR operations with a strong focus on compliance, documentation, and audit readiness
Coordinate recruiting activities, candidate communication, offers, and onboarding
Partner with school district HR teams and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant onboarding
Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data
Process employee changes related to pay, position, status, and reporting structure
Support workers’ compensation and leave of absence processes with accurate tracking and documentation
Assist with payroll preparation, benefits questions, and open enrollment support
Track compliance requirements, training records, and key deadlines
Contribute to HR projects that improve systems, processes, and scalability

Required

3 to 5 plus years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in an HR Generalist role
Experience in a compliance- and recruiting-heavy environment
Working knowledge of California employment practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Enthusiasm for HPA's mission and values
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable managing multiple projects and firm deadlines
Confident owning execution while knowing when to escalate
Process-driven and compliance-minded
