Responsibilities

Incumbent performs the full range of supervisory duties, managing a staff of subordinates, planning work to be accomplished, setting priorities and scheduling work to be completed within the section
Technical authority for a variety of projects regarding planning, analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and management of networked systems
Skill in written and oral communications sufficient to present sensitive recommendations regarding complex issues and risks to higher authority
Mastery of hardware/software architecture related to network communication systems
Ability to oversee the design and development stages of network projects and formulate strategies required to integrate new technology into the current hardware, software, and communications architecture
Provide direct technical leadership and management for production support teams, overseeing Tier 3 issue resolution to ensure maximum system stability and reliability
Define the strategy and oversee the maintenance of the team's test lab environment, ensuring it is properly resourced and equipped to support all current and future development, testing and automation activities

This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination
In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months

All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-14 grade level
