Sr Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician - Weekend PM
Thermo Fisher Scientific is a leading company in the scientific industry, and they are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician for weekend night shifts. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and GMP standards.
Research
Responsibilities
Performing all actions related to the preventive maintenance program of the Company
Intervening in production issues related to mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance
Performing tooling changes, machine setups, and making in-process adjustments
Rebuilding, calibrating, and configuring sealing components and controls
Documenting clear and detailed information regarding machine downtime, repairs, and critical process controls
HVAC, Boiler, Generator and electrical troubleshooting
Engaging in continuous improvement projects
Participating in equipment installation
Testing equipment to ensure efficiency and performance needs are met
Maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment
Following all safety and cGMP requirements
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed
Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
Standing for full shift
Various outside weather conditions
Working at heights
Preferred
Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of equipment based on industrial process controls and pneumatics, including PLC Programmable Logic Controllers, reed switches, valves, relays, temperature controllers, and solenoids
Production experience in a CGMP or Lean manufacturing environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced controlled cleanroom environment 8 to 12 hours a day, depending on shift, with additional overtime as required for production schedule consistency
The Clean room is controlled environment for temperature and humidity having low ambient noise
Specific gowning is required including gloves, hair & beard net and face cover, safety glasses with no makeup / jewelry, and the like
Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and understand chemical hygiene
