Responsibilities

Shape financial strategy from the inside out – You’ll partner with leadership to direct accounting, tax planning, and financial forecasting that moves the business forward
Unlimited Growth – Step in at the ground floor of a new Gradient entity and help create Tax Central from the ground up. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial drive who wants real influence and impact
Be the analytical backbone – You’ll spot trends, highlight opportunities for growth, and provide insights that drive confident decision-making
Deliver financial impact across three audiences – Provide strategic and operational financial support for Gradient, our Financial Services Representatives, and the end clients
Lead with precision and integrity – From fiscal reporting to audits, your work ensures accuracy, compliance, and financial strength across the organization
Steer critical financial functions – You’ll help manage budgets, reports, tax filings, audits, fixed asset tracking, and internal controls essential to a sound financial foundation

Required

Extensive experience in personal and business tax preparation, public accounting, financial reporting, auditing, and navigating complex tax regulations and GAAP standards
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
3-7 years of experience in an accounting related role
Proficient with accounting software, ERP systems, Microsoft Office, financial modeling, and other current financial and accounting applications
Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for leaders, partners, and cross-functional teams
Integrity, precision, attention to detail, and a passion for improving processes and controls

Preferred

Master's degree or prior senior-level accounting experience
CPA designation
Knowledge of the financial services industry
