The Senior Photonic Design Engineer will lead the design and validation of advanced passive and active photonic components for high-speed optical transceivers, owning the full photonic integrated circuit lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Design, simulate, and optimize passive and active photonic devices for high-speed applications
Plan and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) to drive device performance and yield
Develop PIC layouts for optical transmitters and receivers
Perform system-level modeling using a combination of simulated and measured data
Support PIC assembly, packaging, and PCB-level integration
Define and execute standardized test plans for photonic components and PICs
Lead validation, reliability testing, and failure analysis efforts
Drive delivery of robust, production-ready photonic solutions
Qualification
Required
M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
Experience designing and delivering photonic components for telecom or datacom systems
Hands-on experience with PIC testing, characterization, and qualification
Proficiency with industry-standard photonic simulation and layout tools
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Preferred
Experience with high-speed modulators and photodetectors
Background in yield improvement, reliability testing, and failure analysis
