Responsibilities
Support the analysis of data from research studies
Assist the Principal Investigator (PI), trainees, and technicians in conducting experiments
Perform routine analyses
Maintain laboratory records
Database maintenance
Contribute to patient data collection and analysis by leveraging knowledge in computer vision and machine learning to process and assist with interpreting retinal imaging data
Utilize programming skills in Python and MATLAB to manage and assist in analyzing experimental data
Ensure accurate and efficient database maintenance and documentation of laboratory results
Other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Theoretical knowledge of cell/molecular biology, biochemistry and/or other demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience programming in Python and MATLAB
Experience in utilizing machine learning to aid the analysis of large, complicated data sets
Proficient with MS Windows suite and databases with an ability to work with a variety of computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop) and with a willingness and ability to increase skills and knowledge as needed
Ability in keeping organized, accurate lab records and computer files
Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Preferred
Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Knowledge of working with clinical datasets
Familiarity with clinical imaging and analysis
