Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a global engineering team to deliver innovative, high-quality consumer products from concept through mass production
Partner with R&D, Product Development, Marketing, and Quality teams to ensure alignment across design, performance, and manufacturing
Direct the creation of concept models, CAD layouts, and prototypes to evaluate design feasibility and functionality
Apply sound engineering principles to optimize designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability
Drive cross-functional collaboration to accelerate time-to-market for new products
Oversee verification and validation testing to ensure reliability and compliance
Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement
Manage external technology partners to deliver engineering solutions efficiently
Continuously assess and improve design processes, cost-effectiveness, and product quality
Identify and champion new technologies, materials, and ideas to maintain a leading market position
Qualification
Required
Proven record of successfully taking consumer product concepts through to mass production
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related technical field
Extensive experience leading large-scale product design and development teams
Deep knowledge of mechanical design, high-volume manufacturing, and design for manufacturability
Expertise in processes such as plastic injection molding, sheet metal, and die casting
Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of mechanical and physical design principles
Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
Global leadership experience with a track record of delivering profitable, high-impact products
