Responsibilities
A minimum of three years of law firm experience
Must hold a JD and be admitted to the Illinois bar
Hold strong experience in analyzing complex privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity issues across federal regulations and evolving state privacy laws
Confident in advising on compliance with privacy (GDPR, PIPEDA, HIPAA, COPPA), and other global and sector-specific data protection requirements
Ability to draft, review, and negotiate technology and IP‑related agreements, including data‑sharing arrangements, licensing deals, and vendor contracts
Strong ability to develop, implement, and refine privacy and data security policies, procedures, and governance programs for organizations
Conduct assessments and risk evaluations related to cybersecurity obligations and emerging privacy legislation
Monitor legal developments in state privacy laws and global data protection trends and providing guidance
Monitor legal developments in state, federal, and international AI laws, regulations, and best practices and provide guidance, including governance and contract development and negotiations
