Responsibilities
Partner with clients to design and manage group employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits
Provide consulting advice on plan design, funding strategies (fully insured, self-funded, level-funded), and compliance with federal/state regulations
Conduct benefits benchmarking, market analysis, and cost modelling to guide client decisions
Assist in carrier selection, renewal negotiations, and RFP processes
Support implementation and enrolment activities, including employee communications, onboarding, and education sessions
Maintain strong client relationships through regular meetings, reporting, and problem resolution
Collaborate with internal teams, brokers, and carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of benefits programs
Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in employee benefits
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in employee benefits consulting, brokerage, or related field
Knowledge of group insurance products (health, dental, vision, life, disability)
Understanding of plan funding models (fully insured, self-funded, level-funded)
Experience working with SME and mid-market clients preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in benefits benchmarking and reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to explain complex benefits solutions clearly
Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
Preferred
Professional certifications (CEBS, CEBS Progress, RHU, REBC, or equivalent)
Familiarity with HRIS/benefits administration platforms
Knowledge of U.S. regulatory environment (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA)
