Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, assess, and deliver training to PSD staff on mandated regulations consistent with Head Start/State Preschool Programs and Community Care Licensing guidelines
Develop curricula and course materials
Establish objectives and determine course content, sequence, and delivery systems
Deliver instruction and present information to audiences of all sizes and compositions
Develop evaluation instruments to measure effectiveness of training programs
Confer with subject matter experts and program staff to determine training needs and ensure technical accuracy of training materials
Qualification
Required
Thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter units of completed college coursework in English, Education, Business/Public Administration, Communication, Organizational Development, Computer Science, Social/Behavioral Science, or a closely related field
Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience determining eligibility, developing curriculum, providing educational services, or assisting with program development in a public sector Child Care, Foster Care, Head Start, Early Childhood Education, State Preschool, or Human/Social Services setting
One (1) year of experience conducting formal or informal training, mentoring, or teaching on a regular basis
Preferred
Knowledge and experience with Head Start/State Preschool programs
Knowledge of Community Care Licensing
Knowledge of Title 22 regulations
