Responsibilities
Facilitate cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma groups
Provide individual counseling sessions
Conduct clinical assessments
Create relevant and individualized treatment and discharge/transition plans
Perform ASAM assessments and recommend the appropriate level of care
Collaborate with a team of mental health professionals as well as correctional staff
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of the treatment episode
If fully licensed you may be asked to supervise student interns
Qualification
Required
A Master's Degree in a clinical mental health field i.e. social work, clinical mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy
A license to practice in Utah in one of the fields listed above
The ability to balance group and individual sessions while keeping up on documentation
Preferred
Be trauma informed
Familiar with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Social Learning Theory
Able to work well individually and on a team
Have working knowledge of the ASAM
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Skilled in de escalation techniques
