Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior
Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned areas to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to the public
Monitor and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents encountered during patrols
Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as required by site protocols
Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for the handling, use, and storage of firearms while on duty
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly
Adapt to varying working environments and conditions as determined by the client site
Qualification
Required
Possess an Armed Guard Card or License
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet
Handcuffing certification
