Responsibilities
Supervises and assists in the performance of maintenance and preventative maintenance of electrical fire alarms, CCTV, electronic security, PA, intercom and high voltage distribution systems and equipment
Reads blueprints and wiring diagrams and makes material take-offs
Requisitions materials and parts needed
Ensures completion of installation/repairs
Makes emergency repairs to electrical system and equipment
Performs on-the-job training of inmates
Participates in on-call rotation
Qualification
Required
High school diploma and trades experience related to the area of employment
Relevant experience may be substituted for the required diploma on a year-for-year basis
A high school diploma and five (5) years' professional experience in institutional general maintenance construction and repair
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire
