Responsibilities
Assist students, staff, and faculty with admissions, registration, records, and college program questions
Connect students, staff, and faculty with additional resources, and other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility to work effectively with staff, students, faculty, and the general public to maintain good working relationships across the College
Capable of explaining complex issue in a concise manner to students, staff, and faculty
Able to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team
Able to use professional phone etiquette
Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple activities to meet the department's needs
Able to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College
Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities
High School graduate or GED equivalent
Preferred
General knowledge of higher education policies, practices, and procedures
Ability to take initiative in identifying and promoting development opportunities
Ability to operate a computer and general office equipment
Spanish Speaking preferred
Experience specific to Higher Education
One (1) year post-high school education
One (1) year full-time (or equivalent) work experience
Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based information and scheduling systems
Knowledge and experience with Banner, MySLCC programs
