Security Officer - PT Overnight Patrol Driver

Responsibilities
Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical processing location
Control access at gates and building entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow for employee, contractor, and delivery arrivals
Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, loading areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, respond to alerts, and notify appropriate site contacts and/or public responders based on post orders
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including suspicious activity, medical calls, fires, and chemical-related alarms as directed by site procedures
Complete written reports and log entries for patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and escalate concerns through the chain of command
Screen and process inbound and outbound shipments and service vehicles by checking credentials, documenting entries and exits, and coordinating with operations personnel for routing and staging
Support site emergency drills and post incident activities by controlling access to affected areas, directing evacuees and/or traffic as assigned, and preserving observations for reporting
Qualification
Required
Be at least 21 years of age
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred
