Responsibilities

Oversees the recruitment, orientation, supervision, and acknowledgment of volunteers. Administers the volunteer orientation and training program. Maintains the volunteer database and scheduling calendar. Acts as a liaison between staff and volunteers. Provides reports on volunteer activities and trends
Create significant volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups, while evaluating the feasibility and extent of proposed service projects
Offer administrative assistance for volunteer initiatives, encompassing file organization and documentation management. Ensure precise records of volunteer hours and program involvement are maintained. Compile materials and correspondence pertinent to volunteer services
Facilitate both short-term and long-term strategic planning for the department
Assess the needs for outreach and produce materials aimed at fostering volunteerism. Facilitate the division and program outreach aims through various events, presentations, and community educational efforts
Provides customer service
Evaluate programs and events; develop and implement surveys to assess needs and expectations
Undertake extra responsibilities as allocated to facilitate departmental operations

Required

Bachelor's degree
one (1) year of related work experience
equivalent combination of education and experience
Must undergo a criminal background check
Must undergo a credit check
Must undergo a DMV check
