Responsibilities
Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and scheduled appointments in accordance with site requirements
Issue and track visitor, contractor, and temporary badges, and maintain accurate sign-in and sign-out records
Screen and direct deliveries, service providers, and outbound shipments per site procedures, including coordinating with receiving and shipping contacts as needed
Conduct vehicle and truck entry processing, including checking credentials, documenting trailer and container information, and maintaining access logs
Monitor alarm panels, access control systems, radios, phones, and/or CCTV systems, and communicate unusual activity to site contacts
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken
Complete detailed reports on access activity, incidents, and policy exceptions, and escalate concerns through the chain of command
Support security-related screening measures as assigned, such as package checks and metal detector operations when in use at the location
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Experience using access control and badge systems is preferred
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
