Child Protective Services Supervisor

Responsibilities
Establish performance expectations and goals for the team
Lead a team of CPS workers with activities and plans to accomplish goals
Promote teamwork and cooperation in the unit
Cover emergencies and provide clinical direction to employees
Lead unit meetings
Monitor staff compliance
Work with a diverse and multi-ethnic population and workforce
Possess the ability to diffuse potentially volatile situations and deal with competing and demanding circumstances
Demonstrate capacity to manage crisis situations that require critical decisions involving people, resources, and property
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required, with major coursework in a Human Services field preferred
Four (4) years of directly related experience in a human services area to include one (1) year of supervisory experience
Pass pre-employment background checks including criminal, credit, DMV, and CPS/APS checks
Valid driver's license (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification)
Hold or obtain licensure in Social Work, i.e., LCSW or LSW
Complete required County e-learning and MOAT training requirements as directed by department
Complete required supervisory training
Preferred
Master's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field; clinical licensure
Bilingual skills in Spanish and English
