Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location
Monitor assigned areas for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access, theft and/or property damage through presence and observation
Control access points as assigned, verifying visitor identification and/or authorization in accordance with site-specific policies
Document routine activities and incident details in written reports and/or electronic logs according to Allied Universal requirements and site procedures
Communicate with site contacts and/or law enforcement and emergency services as directed during incidents and/or alarms
Perform rounds to check doors, gates, and other points of entry for signs of forced entry and/or policy violations
Operate and monitor security-related systems as assigned, which may include access control, alarm panels, and/or video monitoring equipment
Provide direction and information to visitors and employees, including responding to questions and assisting with wayfinding as needed
Qualification
Required
Be 21+ years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire
Access Control and badge experience is preferred
CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire
