Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, identification requirements, and visitor management protocols
Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate locations
Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and delivery logs using written and/or electronic systems in accordance with post orders and client policies
Conduct package and property screening as directed by site procedures, and refer prohibited items, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to the appropriate supervisor and/or site contacts
Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and report irregularities, malfunctions, and/or unusual activity through established communication channels
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, medical response support, and emergency notifications as instructed by post orders
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, building entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unauthorized activity
Write clear, timely incident reports, shift logs, and daily activity reports that document security-related events, access control actions, and follow-up items
Assist with crowd and queue management during peak arrival and departure periods, public meetings, and/or special events to support orderly access to government facilities
Coordinate with Allied Universal supervision, client representatives, and local public sector partners as needed to address security-related concerns and/or operational needs

Required

Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree
Must be at least 21+ years of age
Have 5+ years of security-related experience
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

Preferred

Alarm panel experience is preferred
A guard card and/or license is preferred
