Responsibilities
Overseeing the production excellence and the operational security of the Correctional Industries Optical Lab
Directing all manufacturing processes, ensuring that the lab meets high-volume production demands while maintaining rigorous quality standards
Monitoring the complete lifecycle of the lab's operations, from the procurement of raw materials and inventory management to the final shipping and receiving of finished optical goods
Leading a team of inmate employees, fostering a productive and disciplined work environment
Managing inmate attendance, evaluating worker performance, and providing necessary training and direction to ensure operational success
Qualification
Required
Three years of experience in optical manufacture or repair work in a commercial or institutional optical lab operation; or
Three years of experience as a Corrections Officer (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration), including one year involving optical manufacture or repair work in a commercial or institutional optical lab operation; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
