SVP. Client Strategy

The Senior Vice President, Client Strategy is responsible for driving revenue growth across critical Tier 1 accounts and developing new client relationships, combining consultative selling and exceptional relationship-building skills to serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary strategic leader for assigned Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts
Develop proactive, insight-driven account growth strategies and long-term client roadmaps
Deepen relationships with senior client stakeholders to identify unmet needs, uncover opportunities, and shape strategic conversations
Ensure that KJT’s insights and recommendations map to clients’ business objectives, marketing strategies, and ROI expectations
Attend weekly client calls and conduct quarterly in-person meetings for Tier 1 accounts (minimum of 2 in-person visits annually for other accounts)
Drive $2.5-3M in annual revenue through a balanced mix of existing ($1.5-2M) and new business ($1M)
Drive a disciplined and strategic sales pipeline through proactive outreach, relationship development, and consistent follow-up
Lead proposal strategy, value messaging, pricing rationale, and negotiation for all assigned opportunities
Maintain CRM accuracy for forecasting and pipeline transparency
Identify and initiate outreach to new prospective companies aligned to KJT’s strengths and market positioning
Act as the strategic lead on 2–3 high-impact projects annually
Provide strategic oversight—not day-to-day management—to ensure key deliverables and recommendations meet the highest standards of insight quality and client value
Participate in critical internal project meetings (as project phase gates are met) to guide strategic thinking and ensure alignment with clients' business needs
Demonstrate subject matter expertise on healthcare, pharma, biotech, and emerging industry trends
Build a strong social selling presence on LinkedIn, achieving: Month-over-month growth in impressions and a 10% increase in Social Selling Index (SSI) in the first 12 months
Attend and/or present at one or more industry conference or events annually
Leverage industry and account-specific news to anticipate client needs and spark strategic discussions
Partner closely with research, analytics, operations, and marketing teams to ensure strategic alignment and flawless handoffs
Influence without authority—bringing a point of view, inspiring confidence, and motivating teams toward shared client outcomes
Contribute to internal discussions around skill development, commercial excellence, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher
10–15+ years of experience in healthcare, pharma, biotech, or life sciences
Strong background in consulting, strategic account leadership, and consultative selling
Track record of generating multimillion-dollar revenue, managing complex accounts, and closing new business
Ability to translate business challenges into research and insights solutions
High emotional intelligence, humility, and collaborative mindset
Strong executive presence and comfort with ambiguity
Ability to open doors and develop senior client relationships quickly
Strong commercial instincts and confidence in positioning value and closing deals
Thought leadership that clients seek out
Exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills
Ability to connect insights to actionable business strategies with clarity and impact
Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office, including specific strength in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred
Experience in both pharma and biotech environments
Background in market research or real-world evidence (not required, but beneficial)
Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority
