Recycling Specialist #1422 - Part-Time - Recycling - Public Works Division
Hamilton County is seeking a part-time Recycling Specialist to oversee the day-to-day operation of recycling centers and the collection of recyclables. The role involves working in various County offices and projects within the Recycling and Support Services Department during all seasons and weather conditions.

Responsibilities
Oversees the day-to-day operation of recycling centers and collection of recyclables at various County offices and the County jail during all seasons and weather conditions
Works in special recycling and Support Services Department projects
Qualification
Required
The equivalent of a high school diploma and one (1) year of work experience in a direct customer service position
Must possess a valid driver's license
Prior to operating a County-owned vehicle, all employees are required to complete the HC Defensive Driving course and/or an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) provided at the department level
Must have the ability to drive and maneuver a box truck and a pickup truck with a utility trailer
Work requires moderate physical effort includes but not limited to intermittent sitting, standing, squatting, use of a ladder or step stool with considerable walking and lifting
Work requires regular lifting and carrying of up to seventy-five (75) pounds
Preferred
Direct work experience that required you to understand state and local traffic laws
Direct work experience that required you to understand recycling opportunities and collection methods
Direct work experience that required you to drive and maneuver a box truck and a pickup truck with a utility trailer
Fluency in both English and Spanish
