Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing proper protocols and communication
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and support a secure environment
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the healthcare location, reporting any irregularities or concerns as directed
Assist with access control, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site procedures
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and/or daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management
Collaborate with staff and local law enforcement as necessary to address security-related concerns and maintain a welcoming environment for clients and visitors
Qualification
Required
Have at least 2 years of security-related experience
Must possess an armed guard card or license
Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
