Responsibilities
Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work in the operation of a variety of heavy equipment and manual labor associated with the equipment’s use
Work assignment focuses on limited areas within the City responsibilities
Work is performed under limited supervision with moderate latitude
Position relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach by using and interpreting policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Three (3) or more years' experience in the operation of heavy equipment
Must have a valid Florida Class B commercial driver's license with an air brake endorsement and satisfactory driving record throughout employment
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment
Preferred
Experience in stormwater, water distribution, sewer transmission is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
