This role focuses on teaching core math courses in a single building and providing targeted intervention for students who need extra support, all within a collaborative, student-centered environment.

Responsibilities
Teach two sections of 7th grade math and one section of 8th grade math
Teach one section of Algebra and one section of Geometry
Lead a math intervention period for students needing skill reinforcement or homework support
Plan and deliver clear, standards-aligned lessons that support a range of learning needs
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on performance and understanding
Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, assessments, and interventions
Communicate with families and staff as needed to support student success
Participate in typical school-day duties as assigned within the 8:50–3:10 schedule
Qualification
Required
Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Mathematics (or eligibility/strong progress toward it)
Experience teaching middle and/or high school math (grades 7–12)
Comfort teaching 7th/8th grade math, Algebra, and Geometry in a single schedule
Ability to provide targeted intervention support to students struggling in math
Strong classroom management, relationship-building, and communication skills
