New GradNEOGOV is seeking a Campground Host to enhance the recreational experience at the Donald MacDonald Campground. The Campground Host will assist visitors, maintain park facilities, and respond to emergencies, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all campers.

Responsibilities
Campground Host must possess good communications skills, demonstrate courteousness, and display a helpful attitude to all visitors, even under stressful situations
The Campground Host will provide volunteer services under the direction of a designated Parks Foreman and/or the Parks Venue and Special Events Manager
The Campground Host will be required to assist County Staff in the maintenance of facilities, trails and grounds
These assignments include assisting County Staff with cleaning, sanitizing and stocking of restrooms, emptying trash containers and replacing the liners, cleaning roadways and trails, cleaning campsites, picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and disposing of ashes
Typical duties also include assisting County Staff with raking and grooming of sites and public areas, maintaining a litter-free facility, picking up cigarette butts, maintaining outlying areas such as trails, outposts, and rental cabins
The Host must maintain a good relationship with County employees, and the visiting public
A Campground Host must be familiar with local points of interest, nearby facilities, and local rules and regulations
Campground Hosts immediately report problems and any unsafe or hazardous conditions as they are discovered
Campground Host should be available as the point of contact for campers and guests during hours if County Staff are not present

Enjoy volunteering in an environment with extensive public contact
Ability to do tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately
Ability to perform basic record keeping
Willingness to clean and sanitize facilities with a variety of cleaning agents and chemicals
Familiarity with local points of interest, nearby facilities, and local rules and regulations
Availability during weekends, holidays, and after-hours periods
Completion of a background and DMV check
Clean DMV record
No registration as a sex offender or arrests/convictions for any type of violent crime
