Director of Strategy and Impact
The Progress and Poverty Institute is seeking a Director of Strategy and Impact to support their strategic planning process and existing policy research and advocacy work. The role involves overseeing the strategic planning process, cultivating relationships with institutional partners, and executing advancement strategies to enhance the organization's impact and sustainability.

Responsibilities
Oversee PPI’s forthcoming strategic planning process, including serving as the primary point of contact between Board/Staff/Consultant, organizing and running all meetings, surveys, events, etc. associated with the strategic planning process, keeping all aspects of the planning process on time and on budget, and supporting PPI’s Board and Staff in initial plan implementation
Work with staff to identify and apply programmatic and operational metrics associated with the planning process and initial plan implementation
Serve as a relationship-builder for PPI, cultivating and stewarding relationships with key institutional partners
Along with the Executive Director, execute a comprehensive advancement strategy encompassing major gifts, annual giving, potential foundation and/or academic partnerships, grants, contracts, and planned giving
Ensure strong systems for donor management, gift tracking, and performance measurement
Partner with the Executive Director on strategic initiatives that strengthen PPI’s long-term impact and sustainability
Support PPI staff in the conduct of community-specific research and outreach related to ongoing policy advocacy efforts across the U.S

Qualification
Required
Knowledge of Henry George's philosophy and policy prescriptions
Experience with complex project management, preferably strategic planning oversight
Experience in higher education, community advocacy, and/or public policy
Experience in grant seeking and grant management
Fundraising experience, particularly in the area of donor cultivation and stewardship
Exceptional writing and communication abilities
Strong organization, judgment, follow-through, and accountability
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Ability to travel and occasionally work nonstandard hours
Bachelor's degree required
