This position is responsible for grounds keeping and other maintenance related work, contributing to the preservation of Pennsylvania’s history.

Responsibilities
Performing grounds keeping, maintenance, construction, and repair duties at Drake Well Museum and Park and its satellite sites, Historic Pithole City and McClintock Well #1
Mowing, trimming, mulching, raking, weed control, and snow removal
Perform routine maintenance and repairs in various trades, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical
Maintaining and operating all tools, small equipment, grounds-related equipment (such as lawn mowers, tractors and the like) and site vehicles
Making minor repairs and adjustments as needed
Carrying out routine custodial activities such as removal of trash, sweeping, mopping and cleaning to ensure the site is clean for visitors, staff, and volunteers
Following all PHMC and Commonwealth safety rules and ensuring that alarms are functioning properly and the site is secured at the end of the day
Qualification
Required
One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or an equivalent combination of experience and training
Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent
Experience in groundskeeping and use of tractors or similar large landscaping equipment
Experience in the operation/maintenance/repair of tools, equipment, and/or vehicles
Ability to perform essential job functions
Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
