Responsibilities
Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Control access to the distribution location by verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors to the proper check-in process
Operate the access control post by monitoring entry and exit points, issuing and collecting visitor badges, and maintaining access logs per site requirements
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision
Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other access control systems to identify irregular activity and help to deter unauthorized entry and policy violations
Screen incoming deliveries and outbound shipments as required, including verifying documentation and coordinating with dock personnel on controlled access procedures
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site
Document daily activities, access events, and incident details in written reports and electronic systems as required
Support emergency and evacuation procedures by assisting with access point control, traffic flow, and accountability processes as directed by site policy
Communicate professionally with employees, drivers, and guests to provide directions, answer questions, and support site rules related to access and movement through the location
Qualification
Required
Have 2+ years of security-related experience
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
