Cochise County is seeking a Part-Time Health Educator III to provide services, education, support, and advocacy through public health programs. The role involves conducting health and safety inspections, providing support and training to childcare centers, and collaborating with community partners to improve health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct health and safety inspections and guide programs in quality improvement plans
Provide direct in-person and virtual support, training, and technical assistance to childcare centers throughout Cochise County
Assist childcare facilities to develop policies, procedures and protocol that support best practices in health and safety
Collaborate with early educators, public health and community partners

Required

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education in a health-related field such as public health, nursing, health education, social work, behavioral health, or similar degree
minimum of one (1) year of experience working in one or multiple of the following areas: mental health, behavioral health, nutrition, health education, oral health, environmental health, and/or emergency management
minimum one (1) year of experience working in public health, healthcare, school health, or similar setting
Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license and the ability to be covered by county insurance

Preferred

Preference may be given to individuals with experience providing consultations and health education
