The City of Henderson is a premier organization offering exciting opportunities, and they are seeking a Site Leader for their Youth Enrichment programs. In this role, you will supervise part-time employees and program participants in various recreational activities at the Parks and Recreation department.

Responsibilities

Serve as the direct on-site supervisor of part-time employees and program participants at a satellite youth enrichment program
Oversee the Safekey before- and after-school recreational enrichment program offered at Henderson elementary schools
Manage the Teen Scene after-school program for children in grades 6-8, which includes arts and crafts, cooking, sports, field trips, and social events

Qualification

Recreation program experienceFirst Aid certificationCPR certificationHigh school diplomaGroup leadership experienceYouth enrichment training

Required

Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application
High School diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years of experience working in recreation programs
Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or 'border state' driver's license, as defined by NRS 483
Must have the ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications within the first three (3) months of employment
Incumbents may be required to obtain specific technical certifications, licenses and registrations

Preferred

Two (2) years as a group leader in a recreation day camp style program and/or any other youth enrichment related education, training, and work experience
