Responsibilities
Under general supervision, performs internal audits of offices of elected officials, county offices, departments, agencies, and programs that operate under Hamilton County Government with emphasis on internal control and accounting systems for review of effectiveness of the programs, activities, and financial audits
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a closely related field, from an accredited institution and one (1) year of direct work experience in the field of accounting
A valid driver's license is required
An Associate's Degree in Accounting or a closely related field, from an accredited institution and three (3) years of direct work experience in the field of accounting
The equivalent of a high school diploma and five (5) years of direct work experience in the field of accounting
A valid driver's license is required
Excessive use of Microsoft Word and Excel is required
Preferred
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred
Any of the national financial/audit certifications are preferred: CPA, CIA, CFE, or CGFM
