Responsibilities
Performing a variety of engineering tasks to assist the production of plans, specifications, reports, diagrams and engineering documents
Design and prepare engineering drawings using MicroStation/AutoCAD Civil 3D for aviation/transportation/IDOT/and tollways projects (highways, large arterials, streets, interchanges and intersections, pedestrian facilities, runways and taxiways.)
Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations
Prepare construction specifications
Work closely with other team members on multi-discipline large transportation infrastructure projects
Manage project teams, accountable for budget and schedule
Mentor junior staff
Business development responsibilities
Supervisory responsibilities

Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years' experience in civil/aviation/transportation/roadway design
Must have a Professional Engineer (PE) License
Proficient in Bentley Suite products (Microstation/GeoPak/PowerCivil/InRoads/OpenRoads Designer)
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Proficient in Microsoft suite products (Excel, Word)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred
Experience on aviation and roadway design and plan preparation for IDOT, ISTHA, CDOT, and CDA preferred
Experience in construction a plus
Experience in permitting and utility coordination a plus
